Okay, I don't normally have spoilers, but in case you haven't seen Supernatural's finale yet, I'm putting everything in a cut.

...

Okay, so basically I'm speechless. Acting was good, excellent. There were nice brotherly moments. Heck, there were nice brotherly moments sprinkled throughout the season that hearkened back to what I had originally liked of the show in the first place. Buuuuut...

Seriously, I have nothing more to say than that.

I'm numb. I'm reeling. I liked it (sort of) for the sake it was Supernatural but sadly, I'm also pretty eff-ing disappointed. (pardon my french) I feel like we've gone so far off the path of family that while family was supposedly the saving grace of the big mythos of the big A, the conclusion wasn't close enough to family and more 'throw the sacrificial lamb into the volcano' for me. In the end, the two brothers are not walking off (or dying) into the sunset together. And that kinda bums me out but I am comforted by the fact we have a season six and Sera Gamble to FIX THIS.

[livejournal.com profile] the_other_sandy explains the gut reaction way better than me, like some fricking mind-reader. Was I Obi-waned? No. But if she could used those powers for good and pull all the plot bunnies out of my head, I might get more fic finished. LOL.

Note: I know, I'm not the popular opinion. I was getting LJ posts during real time watching the finale on how it was the 'best episode ever' and got burned when I was stupid enough to say "eh, it was all right". I really wish I can get on that bandwagon, but I can't. Sorry. Sandy the mind reader eloquently explains why. -points to above link-
