mrwubblesSo seriously when my doctor (who looks nothing like David Tennant -wah-) said I should 'tweak' my diet, I'm sure he wasn't referring to my 3 oatmeal Fudge cookies from the nearby 24hr Mejer.
What happened to Bob Evans? Is the honeymoon over?
Okay, Bob? Close at 10. 10! They should do extended hours for Mediawest because by the time we remembered dinner might be something to consider, it was midnight. By the time we got around to saying good night/ good morning, we started up a new topic and suddenly it was 2am.
I wouldn't have it any other way.
Con doesn't officially start until today at noon when we all stand in line, wait to melt into puddles of goo at the roaming Sammies (-woof woof- and not the -WOOF WOOF- OMG Mommy, can I keep him kind), and register our online aliases.
Things To Expect in MWC:
1. No sleep
2. Spontaneous jammies parties as you wander from room to room and sit in on conversations
3. Be blaise about conversations that starts like this: "But it got better after he was tied up..." and you're not screaming 911 but going "Ooooh..." and whipping out that notebook you been fiddling fic ideas in
4. Needing to ship your dirty laundry back - seriously? your zines...or your clothes? Which goes on the plane with you?
5. The ability to memorize odd quotes: because everyone here is a walking DVR
6. Shanghaied into new fandoms by total strangers coming up to you and saying "Oh, but you should check ouut this episode/music video/fic/wallpaper..." How else did I get into Torchwood, Supernatural, SGA (maybe! still in denial!, Master and Commander, UNCLE, Sentinel...)
7. Coffee no longer needs milk and sugar. Waste of cup space
8. Writing Fanfic is a perfectly acceptable conversation starter with random strangers
9. The closet Greenpeacer in you will go into environmental, paper fits because of the hordes of trees screaming at you from the piles of zines you'll find available, but seriously fic is FIC when you can curl up with it.
