MEDIAWEST: Sans Laptop. (Be Very Afraid)

mrwubblesJust one more day and I'm off to Lansing. Aside from no zines this year (yet oddly the stress has not ebb), I will also be w/o my laptop.
...
I'm waiting for all the "Are you nuts?!" to die down. (LOL)
Okay, my reasoning is that I'm taking a break from publishing. Why not go all the way? I'm returning to writing with pen and paper! I've bought so many pretty journals over the years. Heck, that was my word processor before I got my laptop!
Plus, my laptop is--er--a lot bigger than I had anticipated when it came. (this is a 15"?!) While I would like to think I'm more mobile (upright) these days, 6 pounds of tech on my back might not aid in my balance walking down the plane aisle. Plus, what about my phone? My Kindle? (no iPod, wow, Yuma is cutting the 120V umbilical cord here).
It does mean no email (gasp), no regular eMWC posts on LJ. I'll do my best. This year, I want to relish and truly enjoy what Mediawest got me over the years:
