I want the 8 hour chunk of my Tivo back. LOL.

I haven't watched since "Heaven and H_ll" and the celestial tumble on the hay in the Impala for f_ck's sake. Remember my rant on character assassination? Both shot in the head (figuratively) and both brothers caught with their pants down in the outhouse. Oh, sure, emotionally, the two are status quo but does that mean season five, we get the Winchesters we've known and loved back?

I really don't know. I'm holding out hope. But hope right now comes in that tiny bottle Alice found after chasing the rabbit who was muttering "I'm late, I'm late."

Late for what? The emotional payoff after a season of angst and divide between our two boys, that's what.

-Points at icon-

I need not say more.

....

Okay, maybe a little bit more.

Mind you, my opinion only. Others have loved it. Got an...interesting IM about OMG!Misha so I could be wrong in your eyes. Actually, opinion has been on both sides of the extreme and gushy about Misha that I feel like a defect for not liking Misha. Hm...maybe I had another brain fart and not know it?

I just really don't know where our two brothers can go from here. Crap, it's like flashback to the Stargate SG-1 season wedonotmention.

I call it fourth seasonal mania. Most shows are afflicted with the drive to slam a plot shovel over our heads and be new and edgy because they want a fifth season. It does mean often though that by 5th season, they comfortably settle back to a recipe that works. Hence why I hold judgment (Misha/Lucifer/Lilith pun not intended) until 5th season.

Oh, please let it be okay in September, but frankly, I rather be waiting for Torchwood and Top Gear. Man, and they did so good in the beginning of the season, too.

Why, oh, why must 'shaking things up' means character assassination, to the point our heroes become too flawed, too broken, too umempathizible?

-meh- Not even going to give a cookie rating. I might choke on the crumbs. LOL.

HOWEVER... Having heard/read all about last night's episode I must admit I had the opposite reaction to you.

And there's nothing wrong with that. :) That is what's so great about fandom. Opinion is fluid. And hey, I wonder if its some random genome in my dna because apparently popular opinion is that the finale was genius.

I think for me, the finale got a knee jerk reaction from me because, like you said, I was really not happy with what had progressed/deteriorated over the season so I'm a little wary about being happy too soon about what's in front of me.

I think fans, while may have fled in mass exodus for places more warm and fuzzy (lol) may migrate back. Because they (me included) never truly go away. I myself loved the first two seasons so much, to much to truly ever go away. Just meandering too sunnier spots for now.

And to be fair, I'll rewatch the finale with at least the encouraging assurances and hope for the best. Because deep down, I still adore my boys. I just adore their relationship more. Sorry, Dean. LOL.
