To be fair, baseball fans, I too was riveted to game 7 (then again, it could be the 12oz candy corn binge during my traditional Charlie Brown Great Pumpkin showing). Nevertheless, SpoilerFix summed up my emo nicely:

LOL.

Mind you, I'm still not completely on board with Peter physically not there at the start of the season but I forgave them because even when Peter ceased to exist (Dude, it's bold worthy. live with it. LOL.) he wasn't quite forgotten. Now that he's back, how he re-integrate with them, with Walter is the siren back in. And that would have been yesterday's episode. All set to sacrifice Supernatural (don't kill me!) to online viewing and watch Fringe but no, game 7 popped in.

But watching Supernatural wasn't a hardship either. I'm shallow, okay? :)

Frankly, I adore Peter but I'm loving the storylines with him in the ether too, because it fascinates me to see the changes in the other characters. It speaks to how vital he is/was. Plus, Olivia Dunham kicks arse just by being.

I don't think they're going to reset, so I sense frustration for you. ;)

I can't imagine that they're just going to reset. That would be too easy, and this show has never gone with easy.

I'm pretty sure it's not possible for a whole lifetime to be put back. Peter as he is now, yes, but his impact on Walter and Olivia - no, because he wasn't there.

He can, though, begin to affect them now, and that was half the enjoyment of the early seasons. I still miss some of those scenes, and can remember vividly Walter going off on his own and getting lost and upset because he couldn't remember Peter's number.

I remember that scene, too. It was a great scene. And I love the way that Peter and Walter have slowly been coming together. How Walter saw Peter and Peter came to peace with Walter. I'm hoping we get to see that again, though with a different filter. Walter is so fragile, and Olivia is a little different this time, too. It's almost like she has this wall built around her so no one can hurt her but she's gentler with Walter than the old Olivia. I really love the actress who plays Olivia!

Oh no, I don't want them to reset! I'm more frustrated by the fact that I have to wait a week to see how they deal with it.

Resetting right now would totally negate Peter's sacrifice and reverse his classic journey to a hero. (someone over there loves Campbell. LOL).

What I was looking forward to seeing is maybe how Peter interweaves himself back into everyone's lives, how he reacts to the subtle changes the characters aren't aware of themselves.

Walter and Peter's dynamic is the clincher for me. You're both right: Walter is so fragile right now, how much can Peter reveal to him, how much does he hold bac--whoa, role reversal! If TPTB gets it right, I would wuv them forevah. LOL.

But alas, we have to wait one more week. One more week for my mind to go bonkers with the possibility.

Considering all I need to write, that is a very cruel thing to do to a lethargic and uncooperative muse.

I was so with you. I was going to watch Fringe instead of SPN because WE GOT PETER BACK. I was really looking forward to seeing what happened when we got Peter back. How was he going to deal with the fact that Olivia literally didn't know who he was? What was going to happen to Walter when he found out what he did in that other timeline? Walter is already so fragile in this timeline, I can't imagine what that news would do to him. I was really looking forward to seeing where Show would go. *sigh* Onward to next Friday.
