It's always interesting to see who on my friends list likes things, and who doesn't. I was uneasy with the beginning of this episode, and I wasn't sure about the tone Bobby took. I hated the actress who played Lilith, because I couldn't see anything but her teeth. The waiting room was making me impatient, and...then...
There was the final 20 minutes or so, which, for me, redeemed every annoying niggle bothering me. They were together, they didn't kill each other, they were holding on to each other and facing what's coming together.
It doesn't excuse some of the other problems, but it sure does make them easier to wank my way around!
When I stick in a Supernatural disc (or vid on my ipod) to watch at bedtime, it's usually season one. Occasionally some a second or third season ep like Supernatural Christmas or Night___ (I'm so bad with titles. I want to say Nightcrawler, but I know that's not right!) that fits my pseudo-season one togetherness need. Sometimes, it's the first half of this season, when Sam and Dean were reunited and it seemed like things would be okay. The thing about this episode for me? Is that it puts the boys back together, facing adversity, together. Clutching each other!
I'll be interested to see what you think on second viewing. I'll be interested to see what *I* think on second viewing! Because once the big picture is finished, it's interesting to go back and see if the pieces actually fit...
