Moving to DW made me realize how long it's been I reached out to the fan community. Living the life of a Muggle Mundane, it's a tad lonely. I miss squeeing with fellow fans about an episode or marathon writing the newest fanfic. Heck, I miss Yahoo Listgroups (which shows how long I've been wading the fandom pool, OMG).

I haven't dropped out of fandom completely though. As I struggle to get published, writing pro instead of fan, I realized that if I ever get published and someone asks, I am going to be so dang proud to say, "Yes, I am a fan."

Not going anywhere, folks. Just taking longer to get there. :)

Big Bang is living up its name on my muses. They're whimpering in the corner, eating their hair and it is now November 1st.

Crap.

I'm back from Mediawest and five days worth of no computer, no Internet, no WiFi, no email, etc, etc. I survived. (I think). I was not super anxious to get to a keyboard. Then again, days of just chatting, visiting, zine hunting, squeeing and the occasional, inconvenient hassle of calorie consumption might have had their part in that. Yes sir, I enjoyed MWC, reunited with friends and enjoyed being unplugged.

Then I got home and found my DSL was still down.

Just one more day and I'm off to Lansing. Aside from no zines this year (yet oddly the stress has not ebb), I will also be w/o my laptop.

November is back. Again. Oh boy. How did that happen? I was debating whether NaNoWriMo or not. Original, fan fic, heck I know, but it may be the kick I need to write again. I have my stopwatch out, my notebook, my gummy worms. My own possible foil: World Series 2009. LOL.

What to possibly write? Oh, the fandoms I had toyed with but I have to pick a favorite. Only. One. Man, it's like picking puppies after a pile just squirms up to your lap to give you huggles. Argh. But pick one I will. I hope.

This is so random. (LOL) But anyone still remember the show Emergency! with Randolph Mantooth and Kevin Tighe? Hulu.com has the episodes free to watch with very little ads and well, I have a lousy few weeks so I started watching and well...fic was born. But...I now need a beta and suggestions on where I should post. Warning, my grammar is not the best.

Ideas? :)

November 30th came and went. Alas I didn't finish, but for a first try, I'm pretty pleased with myself. My problem was choosing a subject I was a little too involved in and the blocks were more emotionally charged than the simple hair-pulling task of finding the right adjective. But it was started when I thought it never would. And that's pretty darn good to me...
