NaNoWriMo : Word Count & Excerpt
The NaNoWriMo site has been going up and down like a yoyo. Normally not an issue, the tiny bolt of pleasure seeing my word count meter go up was denied to me, (okay, I know, silly, but wah)

Excerpt (warning: unbetaed, rough):

I heard voices, but not the words. I felt the hum of their presences, but not the warmth of their hands. I knew in some level I wasn't alone even if I couldn't name who was there; just the sense like at the corner of my eye that it was someone I knew. It is something I hold on to now when I think about my father. It was the first time I ever felt this close to him since he died over fifteen years ago.
