It's funny, as I think I said when I got your first PM over on ff.net, I've also not been enjoying this season. Certainly I've struggled a lot with the most recent episodes (we're up to 'Monster at the End of the Book' here in the UK this Sunday). And when I read the full recaps of what happened in 'Levee Breaks' I was SO angry that I stayed in a bad mood for days, like I did after the S3 finale.

HOWEVER... Having heard/read all about last night's episode I must admit I had the opposite reaction to you.

I was relieved. Relieved and thrilled that in the end Sam finally realised what he was doing was wrong (even if it had been for the best intentions to begin with). That Ruby's true colours were revealed (especially as I've had her pegged as bad and out for her own agenda since day one). But most especially that the boys were reconciled. I know, there is a lot more that needs to be done and they need one huge talk - even at the risk of it getting chick flick - to sort out everything. But ultimately Dean said it all in that voicemail he left (which I really hope Sam gets to hear properly in S5) and Sam said it all when he helped Dean kill Ruby and said he was sorry.

Not to mention them both unconciously clutching each other's jackets as the seal broke.

So yeah... While I still have issues with a LOT of what Kripke has done this season, I am back to being the massive fan that I've always been and I'm actually looking forward to the finale now. Even though 'Levee Breaks' will be hard to watch first.

I just hope that they didn't lose too many fans who didn't hold on until the finale. Hard as it was, from my own perspective I guess I can now say it was worth it :)

I hope you regain your enjoyment of it come S5.. *g*
